Kobe

Kobe is where Yushi's mother used to work until her office building was destroyed by an earthquake. One of my trips to Kobe was after one of these earthquakes. We decided to meet Yushi's mother for lunch while we were there. She wanted to take us to her favorite Italian restaurant in the city. While we were walking along, and she was raving about how wonderful this restaurant was, we turned into an alley where the restaurant was located. Suddenly we stopped. Halfway down the alley, a building was precariously leaning, as though about to tip over. She then indicated that the leaning building used to be the restaurant. We decided to go somewhere else for lunch.

I wish I could mention something interesting about Kobe, but I haven't spend enough time there to find anything other than the typical Japanese city.
