In the fall of 1996 the advanced photography class at the University of Oregon published their second collection of student photographs. They titled it Proof vol. 2. Each student contributed one piece that they felt "summed up," their work in progress at that time.

The advanced photography program at the University of Oregon has been regarded as one of the more highly respected in the nation, and has graduated many Bachelors of Fine Arts and Masters of Fine Arts students.
